 :-/ :-/

yep..brakes were not that good  (and as the wishbones were fubar I thought they also needs changing ) and I thought reason was shocks (45 K miles) ..then I call the service and gave the order .. 1 week later yesterday they call me and said they are ready.. I went there and the mechanic take the oldies and tried to bring the new :o and to our surprise they were not ready.. >:( >:(  Then I start to argue with service chief and it turned to worse.. ;D

Result I told them to break off >:(

Then some other people entered the scene calm me down , find the parts from somewhere else, I bought them and dont accept there to be replaced .. etc etc :(

so to cut the story short ,at 19 pm I find a lift , with the help of friends we changed .. and the oldies were same as new :'(

What is your definition of 'work'?  There primary job is to dampen, and yours certainly haven't done that for the last 50k.......

Hmmm, there are lots of things that will pass an MOT (my rear bushes for one) that aren't particularly safe.  Mrs TB's Rover has recently passed its MOT, despite the fact it can not slow down at slow speed.

Change the tinkers before it bites you!

I literally have zero money, Japan, flat purchase, i've got nothing  :(

If this job offer comes through i'll treat it to a suspension over-haul though  :y

All depends if that offer turns out to be interesting, as that suggests travel, so would need a car. I can always borrow shocks off another of the fleet for an MOT  ::)  ;D

I'll loan you £23.45 over 6 months, and you'll only have to pay £50 back per month  ::)

I've seen an '03' 3.2 Elite without an engine, well techincally it's now an Omega 0.0  ;D
I'm only buying it for the leather interior for my new 2.6 Elite manual, unfortunately it'll obviously have self level shocks...but if you wanted them, you can have them for free and take the pipes and pump if you wanted to fit self level to yours, may help with that big LPG tank in the boot? It's the same colour as yours aswell, I think...Krypton Green. So if you wanted any panels and boot spoiler etc you can have them free aswell. The guy wants £900 for it, so if I can knock him down quite a bit I'll get it...more like £300ish I think really.

Cheers  :y

If only this had come up a few months ago, would have gone whole hog and got a couple of doors to replace mine which have have a scrap down them.

Think for self levelling you need the sensors, and pump up front. I don't tow anything so not sure if its really needed  :-/

But thanks for the offer  :y

I might have the two passenger doors off you though if it is the same colour  :)
