-
these not them?
Saloon, Sport exc. Removable towing attachment, from '00, ident. LU 9193196 £235.00 £200.43 £142.56
Saloon, Sport with removable towing attachment, from '00, ident. LW 9193197 £236.00 £200.60 £142.79

Was assuming it would say "lowered sports chassis" ?
Not sure what spec "sport" is?

Sport was effectively an MV6 with the 2.2 petrol engine, but I know 100% for sure it did have the same suspension set up as the MV6. But it does seem odd to me they'd use the Sport for reference not the MV6.

so they exist . but perhaps not on TC ??

Fronts where special order from the factory and took about 2 weeks to arrive. Not really the bulk buy type item we might expect from trade club? Maybe they dropped them from the listings? Except the fronts are still on TC. :-/

What does it say about rears Nige?

Only place LSC is mentioned is under Estate
18X SPRING, ASSY., REAR (SET), IDENT LX (USED WITH LOWERED SPORTS CHASSIS) (NOT USED WITH REMOVABLE TOWING ATTACHMENT) Y1000001- 9193198 4 24 052 1
17X SPRING, ASSY., REAR (SET), IDENT LR (USED WITH LOWERED SPORTS CHASSIS) (USED WITH REMOVABLE TOWING ATTACHMENT) Y1000001- 90542361 4 24 022 1
and there is no "engine" designations under estate either .. saloon lists different springs for diferent engines .. but no mention of 3.2 !!
Self levellers are different as well.. :)

Not sure that will work .. I seem to remember Chris has MV6 suspension on an Elite ??? or something along those lines... :)
-
PM sent to AndyC with a genuine MV6 Reg. Number. :y

Ah good work guys, thankyou.
as Entwood and Kevin suggest my car is an Elite, Kevins mv6 car I.D.is the same year and engine. So his details will give the parts required. Wil pm Andy now. :)

well the only ones i can come up with are 9193196.
The reason they are not in the TC Book is because these are not stocked in the UK and would have to come from one of Opels warehouses in europe.
Price wise you looking at £200.00 a pair retail + Vat with 15% trade discount
Cheers

Most odd, estate lsc available front and rear, saloon lsc front available, saloon lsc rear....not available. Fronts came from Germany too, and took 2weeks to arrive, on tc.
Although I wonder which is the oversight, the fact saloon rears are not available, or that the rest are ?
Thanks for looking though Andy, will be in touch. :'(

Its something thats going to become more common on slower moving Omega parts over the next few years.
This is due to the fact that vauxhall only have one warehouse in the UK that houses Vauxhall Parts, Opel Ireland, Saab UK and Chevy parts so the slow moving stuff is moved out back to one of the many warehouses that Opel have in Europe to make way for new models.

These are now listed on tc it seems, ident Lu. But listed as sport, not lowered sports chassis, if we could confirm these are correct mv6 ...... :(

Saloon, Sport exc. Removable towing attachment, from '00, ident. LU 9193196 £235.00 £200.43 £142.56

Ok, after some checking by andyc, and with help from Kevins reg/car I.D. It's clear the above sport items are the correct part.
But, which ones of the two? Mine does not have removable towing attachment, but it does have an LPG donut tank in the boot, irmscher double d wheel barrow style exhaust, which will be modified to allow my own toe bar. All adding tonthe total rear end weight.
So presumably "with rtb attachment" ident LW are the ones to go for.....
147 sobs on tc..... :-/

A lot of money. Sure there's not an aftermarket part that'd do the job?

No, not sure at all tbh, but that's what is on the front, and I don't want it any lower than the 15 mill drop from stock these will give. Plus I know the ride they will give. Kyb don't do sport/lsc/mv6 etc. Just stock and self levelling. Any other sport spring gives 30 mill drop afaict, plus I know now that these will work with self levelling shocks, which I want to keep for toeing a bike trailer, the base of which sits lower than the car, just........?

I thought self levelling spings were longer? So these MV6 springs will be OK with self levelling?
I watch with interest, and would like to feel the end result ;)

Sl are longer unloaded, but compress more as they are considerably softer then mv6.
There is a member here with mv6 elite. Ie elite with mv6 sport PAC fitted from the factory.
So has lsc with elite self levelling.
Parts man tells me there are plod cars with heavy duty springs that also have self levelling for varying load.
Lazydocker has stock firmer springs on his elite with self levelling with no problems.
Plus firmer springs will give the sl shocks an easier time with less role and general wobbliness.
Could do with setting self levelling ride hight procedure type thing on tis? Bending the level arm link rod is a pita.

So which springs of the two? With or without towing attachment?
