As the house is now sold and all parents debts paid which is a great relief to me as i did not like the fact my mum and dad went to there graves in debt. The solicitor informed me that me and my brother would get our inheritance in the next week or so....So i`m gonna look for another motor possibly a diesel estate and as good miggys are few and far now. I`m probably gonna end up with a veccy c or a 5 series (again :D) plus i need a reliable car for work as they are starting me on some the more important contracts and i need to be reliable i wanna get on with this company and poss move on up in it :-X....So i`d like you guys in the know to tell me are A6`s any good? and is the 1.9cdti veccy ok?..... :y

1.9cdti veccy
My brother has the SRI 150bhp version after having a 407 on a V plate for a few years says it returns excellent MPG compaired to the pug. His only gripe seems to be no traction control and no HID's but chuffed to bits with it apart from that. He is mostly motorway miles and has accepted FWD his best for him due to the better MPG.

A6's are ok fwd or 4wd avoid the 2.5 tdi with cvt auto as they have problems with the transmission, 1.9tdi either 130 or 150 pd engines are very reliable nice interiors too though like bmw you dont get many toys as standard unless you get the se trim spec

try the Signum 1.9cdti Elite version - 150 bhp - but get an automatic. Signum was a sort of Omega replacement - big hatch - pleased with mine

You don't want a green 99 mini-facelift CDX TD manual do you? >:(
-
Nah do you want a blue R plate 2.5 cdx petrol????? :D

Bertie, if you want...send me a PM with your requirements, and a budget and I'll see if I can come up with something, or find one and tell you where it is etc. It'll also be a good excuse to come up to see you and Lee again :y

Be very wary of any modern diesel that has a DPF fitted. These are very expensive to replace, and they will need replacing, the one for my focus is at least £1100 from Ford (it's a combined DPF + Cat) and the oil for it is around £30 a litre (mine has a 5 litre tank).

DPF ?

Just been through the same thing over the last few months Bertie ::) ::) ::) ended up with a Mint 03 Mig, which I pick up on Monday.
There is a tidy 2.2 diesel auto estate, 02 reg in Stockton that I saw, not examined though as is a manual... :( :(
There are nice cars out there, just have to keep looking.. :y
