I've noticed that on the inner face of both front disks there's a ring about 10 mm wide that hasn't worn down like the rest of the face. It's the part nearest the rim but it is in contact with the pads which have a corresponding area which has worn down considerably more than the rest of the pad. They'll need changing soon due to this. The outer pad (and outer disk face) doesn't have this problem, i.e. the pad is perfectly flat. Are all Omega disks like this, and, if so, why?

Hi mate very local to you, will keep my eyes open for you, I'll be in either a white Mercedes or a blue 5 series BMW :y

I can't say for all Omegas, but mine were exactly the same. The braking difference with new discs fitted was quite noticable.

exactly the same here, well, worse actually, and posted similar thread, dont know why it happend, i put it down to the splash shield/backplate/whatever its called, being short at the bottom edge initially, but then the outboard side has no guard at all and is fine.... dunno. :-/

I reckon a full can of Andy B all over the discs will fix it, works on all brake parts, cures all ills, even if you had no ills start with. :P ;D
