cant see a drain plug on the tank
dont like the taste of diesel
any ideas how to get it out?

Put a hole in the tank at its lowest point ;)

.. or jury rig the lift pump to run and connect a length of fuel hose to a jerry can. :y

now that sounds like a plan, had thought of takeing a injector pipe off and letting it run on 3 but thought this might take for ever

just pull thepipe off after the fuel bulb and hand pump it out, or connect a pump before the primer for the lazy way ;D

That engine doesn't have an independent lift pump: it's a mechanical pump built into the end of the injection pump. If you have no other option, take the fuel return pipe off at the injection pump and put that to a fuel can with the engine running. You'll loose some fuel to run the engine but should recover most of it. There will also be some fuel left in the "step" in the fuel tank, which can only be recovered by removing the tank.
Is the car being scrapped? That engine is quite sought after in Peugeot/Citroen circles. (and I'd be quite interested!)

yeah its beeing scrapped runs okay but the top engine mount has broke and
it makes a whine noise.think its catching the clutch
if you want its yours for 100 pound complete with box shafts ecu etc
got a engine crane but no big socket for the drive shafts
