Title: y3.0 cams

finally got a hold of a set of 3.0 cams and injectors today out of my local scrapyard 80.000 miles at £40 quid  ;D. cant wait to fit them doing it tommrow sundat morning job keep me quiet for a few hours lol

Are 3.0 Injectors different to 2.5 versions?

well the last time i look at mine there were yellow ones . am asuming there a diferent fuel rate but will look at tommrow and will find out the part numbers

I think the injectors are the same. Colour of the body doesn't necessarily have any relevance but it would be interesting to compare the part numbers. :y

well fitted my 3.0 cams today . and had a look at the numbers on the injectors . (2.5 injectors 0 280 155 712  c 961 8 862 ). (3.0 injectors 0 280 155 712 e 060 663 ) . so there looks as thow ther is some kind of difference . fitted the 3.0 ltrs ones anyway

0 280 155 712 is the Bosch part number so they are both the same.
Flow rate 203.9cc.min @ 3 BAR. :y

Probably manufacture date / batch codes I would have thought.
