Been trying out a few Omegas - clearly the MV6 is sharper on the B roads, but I'm looking for a confortable motorway cruiser.
Do you reckon the standard setup is any more or less comfortable than the MV6 after a fulll day of motorway boredom?
-
depends on your body shape.
I find it's a mix between seat comfort (Elite) and under-knee support (MV6)
but everyone's different.
-
My old Omega which had MV6 suspension was still very comfortable :y
-
I find the knee support great on my mv6. I have no arguments after a 220mile journey in mine :y

chassis wise, mv6 all day long, seats not bothered either way. memory on the elite though, but the chassis on elite is a liitle wayward in comparisson ime.

I have done 900miles in a day more than once in the MV6 (prefacelift), bright and fresh at the end (Mrs TheBoy does a 2 or 3 hour stint while I have a kip)

I wish i could convince my Mrs to do that all i get is if the cars that comfy you drive and park the big orrible thing :(

She doesn't like to parallel park the Omegas, but is more than happy to do 'her share' on a long motorway run so I can get a couple of hours ZZZzzzzz's in...

I find the side support on the MV6 seats can get uncomfortable on really long drives. Probably a sign that I'm becoming too much of a lard @rse. ::) Much rather have the support they provide though.
Chassis wise the MV6 setup is never uncomfortable IMHO, but then I've never found a wallowy setup comfortable. Motorways are smoothish so it doesn't really matter if the ride is a little more firm. Comfort for me is knowing it'll make it round the roundabout at the top of the slip road. ;)

Good - at least I needn't be shy of getting an MV6 on comfort grounds.
As regards body shape, I reckon spider legs, size elevens and a lard @rse is probably close :(
Interesting points about the knee support. Now I think about it, the reason I like cruise is that I get a dead leg trying not to break the limit (too much ;) ) in cars without knee support.
Am I the only one that used to double up throttle springs just so I could relax the right foot at speed?

No trouble getting Mrs Osprey to do a stint but there's no way anyone could sleep through it!
(I do profoundly hope she isn't on line now ;D)

must admit i find the mv6 better than the elite comfort wise, fitting snug into the seat & the leg support really helps me. as for the suspension, yeh its harder but on motorways, really dont notice it much. nice on the twisties though. :y
