Title: HBV how long should they last
Post by: SP_3.2 on 18 August 2010, 21:02:53
Just had to replace my one after about 2 years or so. The old one was a GM one . Was dripping from the bottom of it lost about  1/2 the amount of coolant in the header tank. Took about a hour and was my 1st time. Many thanks for the how to on this one  :y :y was a great help . Took most of the skin of my hand ;D ;D ;D. The cost  as about £35 for the part.

Getting more and more use to working on the car with the help of OOF :y. Will have to keep an eye on things over the next few day

I've just replaced one on the Elite-I also replaced one on my previous 2.5-the elite seemed to take longer-I couldn't get the pipe clamps on or off very easily- does anyone know where to get the proper tool for these?
