Title: CID functions (with pictures 56k warning)
Post by: joshwyatt on 23 August 2010, 18:24:45
Just a quick post to illustrate the CID's functions. Quite a few want to upgrade to the CID, so thought I'd show what it offers above the GID.
For use with the NCDC 2013 and NCDC 2015.
The vehicle illustrated is a 2003 with NCDC 2015.

This post assumes you already have a 2013 or 2015 and are familiar with the functions of that HU with the GID.
N.B vehicle illustrated has the 2015, but the telematics unit is disconnected so phone section is not pictured.

Firstly, this is the idle screen you see, when the ignition is on, but the HU turned off...

Tuner main screen...

CDC...

NAV after confirming the bit about safely operating the vehicle etc (Showing Southampton as my last guidance entry)...

At the bottom of the above photo is 'Map Display' that displays the following image...

There is also an 'Atlas' function which allows you to leaf through the map display. Other useful functions are when the guidance is active and you're approaching a roundabout, it gives a clear image of the roundabout and shows you which exit to take.
Next time the guidance is active, I'll take some photo's to show what it's like...not when I'm driving though  :D

I think those videos are much better than my pictures  ;D
I don't think my post is really needed, as it's kind of a duplicate. And I imagine all those photo's take up lots of space...feel free to delete the thread  :y
