Title: Car Baby Seats - ISOFIX and VX dealers
Post by: pscocoa on 25 August 2010, 10:07:51
My daughter had a baby recently and we fitted the Maxi Cosi family base and a car seat to her Focus which needed a Ford fixing kit no problem.

Yesterday SWMBO decided to check if the car seat could be transferred to the Signum. Answer from VX dealer was no - it has to be a factory fit. SWMBO then starts ringing me at office to sort out - first I check Maxi Cosi web site and Signum is supposed to be ISO fix ready, then I check Signum spec, yes all Signums  supposed to be factory ISO fix ready. VX ask her to take car down to check - they still say no after inspection. I ring VX main number for customer care - they do not know - they will check. No answer. Finally got hold of son in law - take the base and see if it fits on lugs in back seats. Of course it does....

Signums are ISO fix ready.

Apparently VX dealer and parts department were looking in floor for ISOFIX mountings......!!

(Baby is gaining about a pound every 2 weeks - like his grandad)

It's good to know that the vauxhall dealers have such a good grasp of the products they are selling.  :-?  :-?  :-?
