Title: Rover alarm help-anyone??

Morning folks

Tried to find an answer on Rover forums, but no joy-OOF is always a fountain of all knowledge, so thought I would ask on off-chance.....

Rover 114 1998 SLi with Rover Alarm and remote locking.

Just removed factory Rover tape player and fitted JVC CD player using connector blocks that were there-just plugged and played, took seconds!

Went to lock car afterwards, soon as remote pressed, car locks and alarm sounds instantly-must be stereo related as was original coded unit.

I'm guessing I need to reset alarm and do have the radio etc codes and both remotes.

Any one tell me how to sort this out?

Was traced to the previous owner having attached the boot light wire to the rear speaker-a nice cheap fix  :y
