Have chatted with Tony and booked my car in at Tyre and Tech in Lincoln on Monday afternoon to have the geometry set up. Its the first time they have done it through WIM so Mig is a guinea pig.
Hopefully, it will all go smoothly :y :y

I spoke to Steve this afternoon and sent the data, including how to correct any castor issues. Everything is ready my end for Monday.

Now this could be useful for me, as I have just had the subframe off mine (to swap the V6 for a TD unit) and changed the wishbones, I suspect something could be a bit out of alignment. Must either change or free off track control arms :)

The guys were on the car for about two hours this evening. That was just slackening off the rear turn buckles (I think that's what they called them) with heat and mechanical force .
So now the rear follows the back. It didn't before......
They wanted to start shifting the front (subframe?) about but the wishbones have a lot of play in them and they felt that they would only have limited success and it would require reWIMming soon.
They are ordering some wishbones and they advised on Quinton Hazell but I will have to fit them as I need to keep costs down.
So the job is half done and they we very honest and showed me the entire process as they did it.
Once I get the new 'bones on it will be returning to have the job completed/redone.
10/10 so far :y :y
Anybody fancy helping me out with wishbone fitting one day ::) ::)

Avoid the QH wishbones, not very good on the Omega.
Either fit polybushes in the front, re-bush with original/bilstein bushes or go for Lemforder

In that case I will go with the polybushes as probably the better option for now.
Can you please point me in the right direction for the bushes and a pile of advice for installation :y :y

If the rear bushes are ok then you dont even need to remove the wishbones to fit these.
Simply drop the front of the wishbone and hack the rubber of the old bush out.....hacksaw through the metal outer of the old bush (towards the wishbone) and then it will almost fall out.
The polybushes are easy to insert.

I got the car back in to Tyre and Tech on the 30/9 complete with polybushes on the front wishbones and antiroll bars.
The guys put it back on the ramp and reattached all of the alignment gear. With guidance from Tony they fully realigned the geometry to the WIM specs. They then swapped the tyres on the rims left to right and then swapped the wheels front to back.
I have found that I now own a car which travels in a straight line, doesnt pull to the left even under braking. It drives more precisely and is more relaxing to drive. The steering wheel is perfectly central too.
Finally, the 50 - 40 steering wheel wobble under braking has gone. Whether this has been cured by the new bushes or the alignment I dont know. The new poly bushes I think

Have you noticed any differance in ride quality with polly fitted? any extra noise or harshness transmitted through the chassis? might have to try these...

Because my old bushes were very slack then any noise and harshness is to be expected. The front end has firmed up nicely :y :y
