found this on a german website, i have translated it using google it's the difinitive guide to omega production!

that v8 omega looks the biz
still cant understand why it wasnt released here in the uk
or why they even stop making omegas as a whole

yes true the N.Z/Aus Holden monaros and SS's are great cars so it was all there for the V8 platform, just a shame really.

A quick search shows it has been on here several times over the years...strangely Ive never looked at it till now, must have been the german warnings...

i seem to remember the mane reson they did produce he v8 one

was due space and cooling problems or something like that iv read somewhere

but boy would i have liked one lol

the V8 was going to production, don't know how many were produced. IIRC it was the "0-series" running in the production when they discovered that the oil circulation to the top of the engine caused trouble when driving near top speed for a long time. (might have been the c ooling as well...)

They were quite serious with the V8, all info is added to TIS etc, not sure if EPC was updated. Brakes were uprated, not sure of any other differences.
