Would anyone no if Saab are still using the GM V6 engine ? or what year they stopped using it.
Thanks

Still using it, can get a white 60 plate 2.8 XWD auto for £25,000 :y :y
They also use it in the new 9-5 but as they use auto boxes they're no where near as quick as a manual would be.

Same engine that is used in the Insignia VXR and previous Vectra VXR is it not?
-
Thanks Del, how close would the block be to say a 2.6 or 3.2.
The reason for asking is there is currently something for sale which says fits all the 9-3 models, and I am wondering if I could fit it to the Omega :y

To be honest it's very compact for a 2.8 V6, best noise and effortless power though :)

Chain driven quad cam. No visible mounts on the side for the block for RWD fitment and the bellhousing patteren is also different, i thinkl
