well today i finally had all my paperwork in order and now have the right to drive my miggy on the road(6weeks!) if only people made things simple i could have done this within a week first needed a co2 certificate so off to opel and ordered one wo days later you need a m.o.t so got that, a week later arrives the certificate, go to customs office to pay the import tax no you must write a letter so two weeks later arrives a bill for €640 which i could have done there and then at the border had i known, then off to the inland revenue to pay co2 tax now this was interesting any co2 emmissions over 160 will be charged at €25 per gram, well news to me, so with a bill of........1910 euro i finally grow the balls to cough it up! today i go to get the final papers from the testing station only to be told what i got from Opel is now all i need (result €110 spared] so all in all the mig cost me about €3000 not bad for a car i got for free!!!!!
