It's not that bad but ....... ::)
I had a flexy brake pipe at the front of my 'new' Astra picked up at MOT last month so I changed it today. So, while I had the brake bleeding kit set up for that pipe I though I'd bleed the rest as I'd no idea how long the fluid has been in there. Last wheel I sheared the ?*%&ing bleed nipple! >:( Bugger! 8-)
Confusingly the two nipples at the back are different. The driver's side, that I managed to bleed, was 9mm spanner & the one I've broken was 7mm. The OE replacement is also 7mm M6 thread? :-/
A job now for tomorrow. :y :y

These things are sent to try us. You could always take it to garage & stump for a big bill afterwards ::)
I do most things myself too. I'd rather do it myself & know that it's been done correctly :y

It sounds like the drivers side caliper has already suffered a sheared nipple (;D)and been drilled out in the past.
How are you going to remove the sheared off part?

The new slave cylinder is sat on the back seat of my Omega, it's drum brakes at the back. If I get chance at work I might see about drilling the sheared nipple from the old one. I suspect that the passenger's side ie the one that's sheared is already a 'new' one. All the bleed nipples on my 99 Omega are M8 with a 9mm hx head which looks to be the same as the driver's side. My new slave looks to be the same as the one that's broke. ;) all for the sake of a wipe with some kind of grease before it was fitted. :(

Drums on the back... Nice!
All quite straight forward, even the pipe union came undone very easily.
