Hmm. Nice idea, but looks like every other FWD repmo-tractor on the road, IMHO. :(

How about a replacement for the old Senator/Carlton?

I prefer the VX personally, Ford is nice though, I think it's about time we had some classic names back, Calibra, Capri  :)

I wonder if the new Crapi handles any better than it's predecessor?

Can't see that selling. Scorpio must be THE UGLIiEST car ever mass produced surely.

Manufacturers should only be allowed to trample on our pleasant memories of the past if they're going to make something that actually looks half decent ;)

(So neither of the two above pictures, IMHO!)

The new Scirocco is a good example of that, I reckon - a really nice looking car.

Looks like a little Volvo with a different front end, but good-looking all the same. Ford own Volvo, so fair play.

The 'Calibra' was announced as a possibility back in 2007, built on the Insignia (or new Vectra D as it was still thought of back then) platform.

Yep. Got a slightly large @rse, IMHO ;D, but once you get used to that I'd say it's a worthy successor, especially if it's as chuckable (not driven one yet).

Not sure why most of them appear to be white, though. They look much better in a dark colour. :y

I am quite fond of a large arse, personally.. ;D (I used to like the Megane with the giant posterior, too) and I do hear they handle nicely.

There's one in blue down my street - lovely looking car in that colour :)  Out of the cars with concepts in this thread (the Calibra & Capri) the Scirocco is the only one where I'd take the new version over the old based on looks.. I'd hope they all drive better than their predecessors, though ;D

Erm 24/11/2010 - seems recent to me!!

(don't tell anyone but theres two articles on there, one from 2007 with a car with a Vectra Cish front end the other with and Insignia front end from last week  :D)

And what the problem with it being based heavily on an Insignia? The old Claibra was just a 3 door Cavalier.

Once a name has been culled imho it should stay culled. IF it was an icon trying to resurrect that will only end in tears - Case for the prosecution Mini Clubman - i rest my case you honour!  ;D

Its ok. Should be called the Insignia CC or something because its just a 2 door Insignia. Shame it looks like a Hyundal Coupe at the back ;D.
