i thought about investing in the trusted haynes manual for my 2000 omega i checked the website amazon and halford an i couldnt find one anywhere any one had the same problem as me im assuming that they didnt make one. how weird.
-
haynes only made manuals for 94-99 models, tho the mechanicals are basiacally the same, only the interior trim and some extras only found on f/l models not in manual.
-
You can normally get cheap second hand ones on ebay
-
ahhh i see i did toy with the idea of buying the older one but the fact it didnt have 2.2 engines on the front put me off a bit
-
AFAIK the 2.2 is the 2.0 with a longer stroke - someone correct me otherwise.
-
aye something like that, but for all the work you wil need to do to the engine etc, it will suffice, for everything else theres us lot ;D
-
okie doke ill add one to my xmas list and you guys are diamonds dunno wat i would have done without the help and advice cheers :D
-
anything you need to know you would be better asking on here :y
-
Pfl Haynes is def worth having, 2.2 is drive by wire, so different throttle body etc.
Where's Tunnie? He has two thirds of the experience on these ;)
-
fine engine the 2.2, unlike the V6 :P :P
Make sure throttle body is clean, follow the guide :y
The little breather pipe from the throttle body to the cam cover can easily block, its cheaper to buy a new one than clean it, they are about 70p from a dealer!
Fresh oil really, really makes a noticeable difference on them I change mine every 3k, good coolant maintenance as well as if you leave it the HG can go
