Well after taking the battery off my Elite to charge it, I put it back on and after a week of not drining it, took it for a spin today. I've got to say after driving a transit it feels brilliant! I'd almost forgotten what it's like driving it. The effortless torque, and the lovely sound of the v6, coupled with the kick down, and when the transmission locks in full flight it's just brilliant.
I have driven lots and lots of cars and different styles of cars, but I've got to say the Omega is the best by far, even if I do only get 20 mpg from the Elite.
It was about 7 degrees c today, and not too wet so could put my foot down a bit. If someone offered me a ferrari for my Omegas I still wouldn't swap, well only to sell it, buy the Omegas back and be quids in!

geoffr70, I did exactly the same yesterday, I dropped SWMBO at the hairdressers and decided to go for a 'spin'. The Omega is a remarkably refined and effortless car to drive ;D ;D

Cant beat that feeling! i felt the same after having my mothers Citroen C1 for 2 weeks!

even the estates feels verry good on long trips :).. i can even imagine what the sedan will feel like :y

After not driving the "Beastie" for a few days hitting 4/5000 rpm is a joy. There are faster cars about now but for full driving involvement & grin factor im happy! 8-)

Yes there are faster cars, and cars that are better in other respects, but I still maintain for the money, you can't get a better car (second hand anyway!). My v6s are a little thirsty but I'd rather that than drive a shed fwd
