Have a set of new Kumos on which i,m very happy with but just wanted to check to see if anyone gets the same as me, What i have found is that in the very cold say -3/-5 when out for the 1st the tires seem to almost feeling as if there tramlining to some point .
I know the set up is fine and once the tires have some heat in them there fine. Has anyone else had the same kind of thing.
Thanks
Steve. :y

Yep, cold tyres equals hard tyres. Bridgestone potenza on the back and pirelli p6000 on the front with some wear from previosly failed bushes. It's fine in the warm after set up. Say above 2 or 3 degrees.
But below -2 or 3 tram lining is noticeably worse exactly as you say.
I have recently pumped them back up through last week to 32, and t lining was quite bad yesterday on a local shop in the colder temps. I will let them down to 29 or 30 (?) maybe? Should help them warm up and loose the tram lining a bit once warm, or warmER anyway.
Bike tyres, ESP the sportier compounds, do feel horrid in the cold until they warm up, waxy drip level and no feel, refusing to turn in like their flat. Couple of miles and a bit of heat in them and they start to work again.

I think the compound hardness at low temps is the major difference between All Season tyres and Winter tyres, so I think its fair to accept All Season tyres to be a bit less stable when cold.
And stop trying to pollute the mother language with your spelling of tyre :P ;D
