We pay over the odds in road tax, vat, vat on fuel and yet again were having to replace damaged parts because of poor roads.
I checked my tractor over today as the steering wobbles badly from 60mph and over and found:
both lower track rod ends with excess play
o/s front wishbone bush again excess play
n/s rear wishbone bush again excess play
And what gets my back up I only replaced the whole front end in July last year from idler to wishbones.
I also re-replace both wishbone rear bushes in November.
I also tightend the wishbones up with the car on its wheels.
My local motor factors is saying there going through suspension components like crazy.
Well rant over >:( >:( >:(

they are going to get worse, UK roads are not designed for snow. Designed for wet weather, so all that water got in and froze the tarmac, now its cracking up with the thaw. Lot of roads back home have been trashed
Roads will be f*ked for some time to come.

Went down Martial Daire Blvd yesterday (non Brackley members, that is not a euphimism!!) to see a mate. Jeez, most of my fillings dropped out. I didn't think that road could possible get worse. I was wrong.

A mini 2012 .will erything be falling down into them ::) ::). Another year kof disasters.

Bad in the SW also, nearby road and roundabout was resurfaced in Nov 2009 - all lifting up now with many loose patches and holes around drain covers. Locals drive round them but its fun to watch the jolt as others don't.
Local Authorities have less money for repairs in the coming financial year so it will only get worse, perhaps this bad...

I've killed a wishbone and an Alloy in the big Beemer today I think, it bangs around louder than ever now, and I've got a horrible wheel wobble, hit a huge pothole earlier on :(

we pay over the odds over here too but atleast our roads are in decent condition and are pretty rapidly cleared of snow, britain really needs to invest in the infrastructure as it looks like snow could become a regular winter thing if the last couple of years are anything to go by, i would hate to think what the snow costed the country economically this year with the weather disruptions, mate has a restaurant near oxford and said the place goes from full to empty overnight when it snows as no-one wants to go out on the roads i just hope this year hasn't put the final nail in his businesses coffin.

Photograph potholes and the like near to your home with a object in them for measurement purposes (such as a ruler, or even a fag packet), then submit quotes to repair damaged items on your car to your local council.
You may be surprised! :y
