Ive just bought one and i was driving it home last night and couldnt see the buttons its got for the cruise control on the steering wheel i thought there would be a light in them highlighting the button. Should there be a light behind them?
-
Yes, it's an LED soldered to the board behind it.
-
is there any way to get them working again? Could it be a fuse or something like that?
-
Does the cruise work? IIRC on the older models the lights were on all the time and not attached to the illum..
-
Just learnt something new!!!! My Cruise doesn't have any lights on it either!!! Have to see if I can get them working again!!
-
Yes the cruise control works thats what i cant understand
-
I have the same issue cruise works but no led lights on the buttons!!
-
I had a look round last night and apparently the car that ive got doesnt have a light behind them. Oh well at least its not broken.

my old one had it in the dash display, and a red light when off and a green light when it was on the button I mean.. and had 2 switches one on clutch and one on the brake peddle,,, said in book that it read them bar codes that were on side of road as well but only had one sign left as they were being taken up cos they were no good.

I had a 2006 TDCIi from new and that didn't have illuminated cruise buttons. I suspect yours is supposed to be like that :-[
