Yes, well done chaps :y

I've got 3 or 4 mid way through writing, doing them in notepad so I can save them and come back to add to them. 2 of them are biggies ;)  :-X

I was going to write a guide for this but will bow down to your experience!

I've got some pictures you can use if you want.

I have a few pics from the last ones I did but have to do both on SWMBO's for the MOT as they are blowing. I'll give you a shout if I need them :y

Yeah good old Mr Bosch, although first time i looked at removing one i wasnt so polite, Mr Vauxhall and Mr Bosch turned the air blue for a while until i noticed the threads.

On another car Mr DonkeyBoloxF*ckWit mechanic caused alot more swearing when i found the damage he caused >:(, i rekon he used a knife and fork on that perticular Cp. There are some real animals about.

rough process..

download all pics,
pause while organise pc  ::)
resize
upload originals to oof server
watermark
proof check pics
rewatermark some
proof check pics
rewatermark last one (I have 3 sized watermarks depending on image)
proof check pics
upload watermarked to oof server
proofread each guide, amending layout spelling, sometimes spreading over extra posts if char limit is breached etc
amend all links to pics in the guides to new oof watermarked ones.
copy to maint guide section
lock originals
update index
write thankyou post  :y

Was quite a batch last night, and I was disorganised with loads of pics form previous guides still on my pc.

Can do some small guides in under 5 mins, but somehow this batch took a while  :-/

Still a job well worth doing, that im happy to do, to keep from the mess we got into before  :y

Yup, it's a PITA job, but less painful if we keep on top of it.

It's actually easier if just one moderator owns this, as we end up tripping over each other with the images and the indexes.

Hence Jimbob tends to look after this, and a brilliant job he does too - though over Xmas he has a young family to deal with, which takes priority...

I may have a 2.6 CDX in the pipeline, which I suspect has coilpack troubles. If I get it , that coilpack removal guide will come in very handy indeed, so TIA Chris. And well done to Jimbob for organising the guides section. A bit of an unsung hero imo. :y :y

Jimbob, really apreciate what you do and my hat off to you.
I know exactly what you have to do to get these guides in place with all the resizing, watermarking and getting the links working properly.
I also know that not everything goes as smoothly as it should and if you did that in an hour then your wasting your talents.  :y
