I love the Alfa's as well but if your going to have one it should be the V6 ;)

Wish I could find the post where I said that about the 147 you were hungering after. Petrol prices, old boy. :P

Hmm, nice, but I assume from its location that the previous owner part-exchanged it against a new Vauxhall. ;) ;D

The 1.9 is the same engine as SAAB/Vauxhall/Fiat and whatever else uses it :)

STMO that 1.9 also is not economical .. it says 23.2 mpg urban consumption.. :-/
imo either buy something really fast or something economical..

hi guys,
in my opinion whats all this love of alfa's? im constantly told by top gear that they're full of soul and passion etc but looking on the pics that interior aint great. although ill admit the styling is quite cool lol
just my op. :)

Reliabilty, depreciation....who cares, they're gorgeous. I am with the others though Steve, if your'e going for a car that let's say could be more practical then go the whole hog & get a beefy engined version, even if you don't use the power the bigger engine changes the whole sound & character of the car for the better & you'll get your money back when you sell it.
I liken the small engined versions to having a maxxed out McMeal with a diet coke. Either sh*t or get off the pot! 8-)

all this 'italian flair and passion' dont cut the english mustard for me.
if ferrari is the italian's best spaghetti bolognese then the alfa is a morrisons microwaveable garlic bread.
my point is its either a supercar or an omega! hahaha
:exclamation :exclamation ;D ;D ;D ;D
