Title: Ford Fiesta Oil
Post by: Steve Brookman on 15 January 2011, 14:26:50
Hello all,

Just bought a 99 Fiesta (!).
It's got the old 1.3 8 valve engine and not the 16 valve 1.25.
It says in the book to use 5w 30 but I've got gallons of Vauxhall 10w 40.
I can't see any problem using it.

Any thoughts?

Steve

10w40 will be fine in the 8 valve engine, its only the 16v's that need the 5w30 :y

Thanks-

It is quite quiet.
I had a few older ones years ago and they were not too bad.

It's a 99 model,
2 owners, 48,000 miles, no rust, PAS,  taxed and mot'd till end of june, runs very well all for £200 :y
