I'll take the car and the garage! I'm not sure which is better looking..

Any candidate has to include the contents, no point else. IMO. Mouth watering, ESP the pics of the lump at the start of the thread.

That's not a garage, it's a bloody showroom!! there's not a bloody oil or fluid stain in sight! ;)

Too tidy (= gay).
I reckon my mate might well be in the running when his new garage is up and running. Was just helping him install and wire up the 2 post lift last weekend. 8-)

jaw dropping or what. That engine out of the car looked insane but when in the car.................Jesus.
I would definitely have them both with a few mods to garage.

I would love a lift in my garage.. shame I don't think I could get planning permission for a tall enough garage :( (It's going to be touch & go for a double with standard height eaves, I reckon)

It was touch and go in this garage (about an inch to spare ).
I'm sure I came across a supplier of smaller lifts of "domestic garage" proportions that were not too silly money new but can't for the life of me remember where now.
This was a very lucky acquisition. He knows the service manager at a main dealer who happened to mention that one was going begging. 3 phase but we've found a nice inverter to drive the motor and it's looking good.

Most of the 'domestic' oriented lifts I've seen have been ramps rather than lifts (if you know what I mean - drive on affairs rather that four arms off two posts).
Still, I can at least get a pit put in when the garage is extended; that's almost as good.

Take a gander through this thread for some garage envy:

There was a guy on Pistonheads who got around the height problem by sinking the lift into the floor, so it was flush. This pinched him about a foot off the height of the roof of his garage.
if you are struggling getting the planning permission for a tall enough garage, then why not dig a pit? I've got one in my garage and if I was installing one from scratch then I reckon it would be possible to also install so sort of hydralic (and adjustable) rams to raise each corner of the car, simular to the things that garages have on there four poster ramps.

I like the turntable on a slope, drive on with weight above the centre line and I guess it will turn round on it's own...? Although its probably electric thinking about it.

Some of those garages are jaw dropping. A couple of them really look like you drive your car into the hallway of the house itself. I think I'll be bookmarking that site!
