...this
(http://i674.photobucket.com/albums/vv110/joshwyatt/P1010568.jpg)
It's my latest vehicle. It's a 2002 Bentley Arnage 6.75 V8 Red Label LWB.
It's biggest problem is the fact it's LHD ::)
Like every vehicle it has it's plus points, and it's negatives. Negatives for me are no audio controls on the steering wheel like the Omega has, the gearbox is a bit lazy shifting from P,N, R when parking etc...if you can find a space ;D the cruise control isn't easy to use.
It also makes a 3.2 Omega look frugal, I dare look at the MPG computer really.
Plus points though are lovely lambs wool rugs, it's the LWB so there's so much room in it. I'll get some proper pictures once I've cleaned it.
But, it's certainly not something I ever thought I'd get a chance to drive and operate.
I enquired about the cost of an interim/comprehensive service today, for oil, oil filter, antifreeze, plugs, diff oil and basic filters it came to £2500 :o

Very, Very nice ... :y :y :y :y
This for trade or keeps ?? :)
-
Very smart indeed Josh - well done. 8-) :y
-
Thanks Nige :y
It's for trade, I could never justify having something this excessive, but it'll be nice while it lasts ;D
I think it'd look quite good with a caravan behind ::) especially as you do continent driving.

yeah right ..... :)
I went to a caravan "function" about 8 years ago ... one of the "top table" guys turned up with a Rolls Royce Continental towing a Carlight Commander caravan ... (they were around £20,000 in the 1990's !!) and he was proudly advertising he'd bought both brand new !!!
How the other half live !!!

Josh, could I borrow it for a weekend? I'd love to see my neighbours' faces when I park that on the drive ;D ;D ;D ;D
[edit]to add - Anyone who knows the story of my little cul-de-sac will understand that ;)[/edit]

lovely looking car josh, what sort of value does something like that have at nine years old?
-
You can pick up a 1999 Arnage for £19,000ish if you look in the right places. This particular vehicle has covered 15,000 miles and will be priced between £40,000 to £50,000...there's already been some interest. Being LHD it appeals to the ex pat market and those fortunate enough to have a holiday villa in France or the continent etc.

Guessing that it has been removed now, but there used to be a condition of ownership of RR/Bentley vehicles that a tow bar would not be fitted... Even had a buy-back clause IIRCC

An old boss of mine had a bootlid luggage rack on his Silver Shadow. Boy did that upset a few people!
The big old Turbo/Turbo R/Eight models area going for bloody pennies right now.

With a new price of I'm guessing around £120-130 thousand that a serious tumble in value although I suppose if you can afford to buy it in the first place one wouldn't worry ;D
-
I like it :-* :-* :-*
-
no offence but i hate the bentley arnage..... however i love the cont. gt. one of my fave cars.
sorry
-
Josh, does it still have the original pipe & slippers? ;)
-
£2500 per service?????
Do you have to change the oil as often as a miggy??
Does it come with free mortgage??
Have you got a chauffers hat...............got an idea to make a few quid!! LOL!
-
Get Darth down to give it a service, one oil and filter change is much the same as another no matter what the car is. He will also change the cambelt - whether it has one or not. :y :D ;D
-
I should be popping back to the motherland in a few weeks, think this warrents a de-tour and maybe a test drive :D
-
My dad came home with one these a few years ago (saved him the trip to go & swap it back with his at silly o'clock) after chauffeuring its owner to a football match.
So after I'd sat behind the steering wheel we tried to look under the bonnet ......... we failed to find the bonnet release. :-[ :-[ :-[
not a problem I would think for most Azures :y :y :y owners
-

;D no pipe I'm afraid. But, I'll aim to drive with slippers soon. It does have some rather nice Bentley umbrella's in the boot that I quite fancy ::)

Lee,
Love to see you try and get it on that drive of yours, and I mean the 'actual drive', not cheat and just anywhere on the front ::).
I'll bring the camcorder, sure I'll get £250 when the rear bends the garage door as you say is it on the drive yet ::) ;D ;D.
Josh,
Are you sure it's the MPG computer you’re looking at?.
I believe it was actually called a SSI gauge (Shares, Stocks, Interest). And when they reached a certain point it would automatically phone your broker ;) ;D ;D. ;D .
-
Looks very nice to me even in lhd :'(
-
Not a fan of that at all sorry Josh :(
-
who valued it on we buy any car six days ago?
and what did they offer?( rob dogs)
-
Stunning car Josh, a guy I work with traded his 1.2 corsa in for a Bentley Brooklands last year, he didn't say a word to anyone and when I came into the office and said to him "some flash harry has parked a huge Bentley on top of your corsa" he just smiled and lifted up his new "Bentley" coffee mug ;D
My fav car ever would be the Continental GT - one day.....
Darren

;D certainly not me, I'd never take notice of their valuations. I didn't know you could find out a valuation had been done on the vehicle through them...I've only used them once.
-
Thats a very nice car :y
Good luck with the sale. Do you know who the previous owners were 'cos it could help in selling the vehicle if they were well known?
