What an awesome motor. Some years ago whilst having my Senator serviced I was taken from the workshop back to the dealer showroom in one of these. I thought the Senator was fast (which it was) but blimey the kick in the back when he floored the go pedal was quite something. Well worth the money if your licence can stand the strain.

H10 TUS used to belong to a local Lotus Carlton. I was driving through the town's by-pass and this car pulled up along side me at a set of lights. The next set was only another 50 yds further on so we both had a rolling start at them. Neither of us made eye contact with each other, but I think we both knew that the race was on.  ::) ::) ::) I planted my foot and took off, but the LC was already gone!!!  :o :o :o It was incredible how fast it went, a rat up a drain pipe was nothing on this car!!
I caught him up at the next set though 1/2 a mile away  ;D  ;D

My mate had one and I went to meet him after he collected it.  I fell in love immediately and when he floored it the geeeeees........ I still have the smiles from ear to ear.

A couple of years ago he offered it to me at, wait for it, £0. :) :) :)
Yep thats right.

I thought I could'nt afford to run it :( :( and turned it down.  Only afterwards I found out there were ways to keep cost down. :y :y

Am I gutted or what???? :'( :'( :'(

At the time of offer, I did not use the internet nowhere near as now and hence not having all info to make accurate decision read many articles afterwards as I still had desires towards it.

I do understand your comment andyc.  But from my readings my understanding is that there are other sources who can be approached and their costs are nowhere as financially choking in comparison to manufacturers'.  This was a few years back ,and you may be right, but I think it still holds, but I am willing to accept this may no longer be the case. :y
