Title: Y17DTL fault codes
Post by: Andy B on 26 January 2011, 15:39:07
I'm after a list of fault codes for my 1700cc Vreg 2000 Astra LS low blow turbo diesel Astra.
I've had the management light on & off over the last few days. The last Astra I had (same car) that did the same showed a fault to do with the EGR .... to long back to remember what code, so I've removed it & cleared the ton of crap from around it.
It threw up codes of 1631, 0725 & 0400. I think 0400 is the EGR code.
TIA  :y  :y

thanks Graeme. 0400 does show an EGR fault ..... not sure if P1631
 Theft Deterrent - Password Incorrect
or P0725
 Engine Speed Input Circuit Malfunction
are
applicable  :-? They've been cleared now along with the cleaned EGR valve so I'll see what happens.  :y

I saw an Astra with (I believe) that engine a while back that had really thrown its' toys out of the pram and I think P1631 was one of the codes. Trying to recall. :-/

Ended up refusing to start completely and we had to reflash the engine ECU and pair it again with the immobiliser, etc. before it would play.

Work keeping an eye on it. :y
