Title: Vauxhall combi van dodgy fuel gauge
Post by: bestie26 on 02 February 2011, 18:55:34
any ideas on a useless fuel gauge on a combi van 1.7 n/a diesel? £20 showed 3/4 full and wandered back and forth now showing totally empty although you can hear loads swishing in the tank, ive got a jerry can with £5 quids worth in just in case , if i do run out is it going to be a git to start ? how does the gauge get its readings as i took clocks out today and theres nothing connected to it or anywhere for something to connect?

I'd be looking at the other end of the car, ie the float/sender or the connection on the sender at the tank.  ;)
