At least the bump has resulted in it looking like an Omega instead of an Astra G  ::)  ::)  ::)

Indeed, the facelift front is pig ugly, with (later) Rover 800 style massive bumpers...

Someone at work likened my Mig to an Astra  :( Then I clipped him! :y :D

Saying that someone once compared their dads Belmont to my Senator! i wasn't impressed!

The only similarity is 4 wheels i told him!! ;D

Oh come on.... we drive a big Vauxhall, do we really care what people think it is?

"I drive an Astra", "I drive an Omega" ..... ohh i can instantly see the difference it creates in their mind  ::)  ;D

When you're inside it, you can't see it, but you have to admit, the front of the facelift is pretty ugly...

I think the facelift is a much better looking car to be honest.

Possibly from the rear - though I reckon the facelift really does need the lip spoiler on boot. I guess the interior centre console is less cluttered as well.

But overall, I prefer the prefacelift for styling.  Everyone will have an opinion on it, none are right, none are wrong :y

I think the worse thing with the facelift interior is the quality of the finish.  It just wear so badly  :'(

I am lucky that mine has done very few miles so is good in that respect but I know what you mean, I have see some that look very tired inside

I prefer the front of the face lift model but the rear of the pre face lift. Never having owned a pre face lift I'm not in a position to comment on interior.

Indeed, my current facelift is also very good around the centre console.  But the door handle both sides are poor, and the centre armrest surround is appalling on mine.

Pre-Facelifts were/are very solid inside, the Facelifts feel too plasticy, if there were pre-facelift quality in the facelift it's would've been lovely. Totally agree on the spoiler lip, looks much better, back end looks odd without on the FL.

Not necessarily a pranged motor, could be a mid F/L thats hung about unregistered for a period of time at a dealer or something?
