imo, larger tire-wheel sizes are good for lightening your wallet unless you race on track.. :y

Can quite happily recommend Uniroyal Rainsport 2's which were around £90 a corner fitted for me.

Mine had 215/55/16 on and they were fine and may be a bit cheaper

I use the same size for summer tires and quite pleased with them..

Nexen CP641 or Kuhmo KU31 in that size would be the best value budget buys.

Last 2 I bought on friday were £51 each +vat. Total bill was £122 :-X

A bit after the event I know but today have had a pair of Runway Enduro's fitted on my rear axle (225/55/16) after a puncture to one of my "death-trap in the wet" Wanli's :)
Can now actually start braking a bit shorter than 100m before each roundabout when it's raining plus road noise a lot better all for £110 for 2 fitted at local protyre - am so chuffed with these will replace Wanli's on front axle with Enduro's when funds allow
Good budget tyre IMO :y

All things are relative, so ANY other tyre will feel like F1 slicks compared to what was fitted previously.....

I recently fitted 4 Uniroyal Rainsport 2's. Good in the dry & superb in the rain :)
