Feel sorry for the guy, I have messaged him though eBay telling him the roof lining is 'dangle berries'! Told him to get himself here!

Well he has either been told cobblers, or he is using a clever approach to sell the car....

:-/As many of you know i'm far from technically minded but a mate de-trims & repairs/sprays/valets hire cars & has told me that if a Ford Galaxy needs any roof paintwork the rails have to come off which involves removing the roof lining which also involves interior light wiring radio ariel a/c ducts etc so is a bit of a faff about.
However some rails clip on from outside if runners are pre fitted. Dunno if this helps but the seller may have a point. ::)

Didn't Gwillam do the exact same thing with his ex-cop estate?

There is a phone number there

Outa interest....how do you fit roof rails without removing part of the roof lining :-/
Also what that big plastic bit inside and fitted to the roof lining?
I thought it was sunroof blank panel or summat coz it doesnt have a sunroof......but mine doesnt have either :-/
I also thought it might have been access panel fitted for wirry lights on the roof....but it hasnt had any fitted :-/

The ad says its a colour coded panel believed to have been used by plod for camera equipment.

Thing is if the roof lining has to come down its not that difficult. I had to do this on my '95 omega, and its basically "pull off the door rubber surrounds, a few screws and plugs hold the plastic side stuff up, and thats it". These cars are mass produced, which means to be assembled as fast as poss, and often they come to bits just as easy. OK, its a bit more complex on the facelifts but nothing you can't do without a decent screwdriver. Or as LB hinted at, is there something else wrong?. He could have bought a standard Halfords roof rack for not a lot (£25?).

Roof linings not to bad to do, I changed the one on my plod car and fitted roof bars at the same time....took about 1.5 hours.
