Title: Belting Sierra on ebay
Post by: Dave Elite on 08 February 2011, 22:42:33
Would love to have the money to buy this  http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Totally-Unique-Concours-Sierra-MK1-2-3-V6-1983-Y-Reg-/160542567904?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2561152de0

My first car was a Sierra, a 1.6 laser. I still remember the reg  B326 NEC. I wonder if there is a way of finding out if its still going?

So does Date of Liability mean when it was scrapped?

Well yes & no, it means its liable for road tax (ie it expires on date shown) So it could be garaged somewhere and declared sorn, or it has been scrapped.

Declaring it SORN 'resets' the date of liability, so if the date is in the past.. it's been scrapped and/or someone is getting fined ;D

My Nissan has been SORNed for the past ... six years and this is what the DVLA say:

That was the results of Tunnie checking Dave Elite's old car (B326NEC) not the one in the advert.

The one in the advert reports: Date of Liability       01 06 2011
