Hello all ,i was wondering if one of you omega experts could explain to me why my omega has no engine size badge on the boot lid. Most other omegas ive seen has it on the right hand lip of boot lid ,mines november 2002 first registered.I was thinking it was probably not to embaress me as its only a 2.2 . I bought the car last july and since owning it ,this forum has been invaluable especialy the how to do it section. Thanks to everybody on the forum.Regards Nige.

Mine hasnt, it just says Vauxhall Elite, even though its a 3 litre :)

Lots dont, esp the 2.2's for some reason.
my old 3.0 mv6 was totally debadged from the factory

Some prefer the cleaner look, but it's more often done with the smaller engined motors because owners don't want joe public to know that they bought the entry level model.

;D True though!
Happens very commonly on entry levels Mercs and BMWs.
I think it's silly though, seems rather vain.

Ex Police?, most were de badged.

Ignore the V6 snobs, just laugh at them come cam belt change time..... :P :P :P
Interestingly, well to me, our 2.0L estate has the engine size on the tailgate the 2.2 does not, on the boot lid...... ::) ::)
-
Haha :P
I don't mind if someone has a 2.2 or a 3.2, just giving my opinion on why it's often the cars with a lower displacement that are debadged.
