does anyone know anything about these cars? my dads just bought one and its got an intermittant problem with not going into 3rd gear every now and then. he's took it back to hyundai 4 times but been sent away with them saying they cannot find anything wrong and maybe he's trying to rush changing gear.. i say they are bull****ing

trying to rush changing gear???? its a manual, right? which means the driver changes gear when he wants (irrespective of whether its too higher gear/too early for a change)

thats the most stupid reason ive ever heard!!! >:(

I don't think that is what they mean, rushing a gear change.... on a crap gearbox quickly changing gear can beat the syncro so potentially miss the gear or lots of cogs not fitting noises.....
 ::) ::)

Will the car go into gear with a double clutch ?

yes it will go into gear on double de-clutch but by which time you have lost momentum and run the risk of being rearended
