Title: VW Polo deal - free insurance
Post by: pscocoa on 22 February 2011, 15:32:36
For those looking to get young people with clean driving licences a good deal then get in touch with VW.

Free insurance for 12 months for aged 21 or over, £500 off, free servicing for 3 years and flat rate finance at 3.8%. You can get a basic model at about £9700.

Better off putting cash into this rather than £2000 on insurance costs on a clapped out piece of s**t.

Insurance only an issue at 17/18 really, 21 it drops fair bit. Spend £1k on an Omega and £1k on insurance....

My BMW bike (56 plate, 7k bought for) costs £400 to insure a year, 26 years old, 1 year ncb, first big 1200cc bike, commuting & pillion. Without last two I could get it for £200 odd!

Although, buying a bike is far more sensable!   :)

Remember when we were selling saxo 1.1 forte for £6995 with 1 yr free insurance to 18yr's and over. Offer lasted about 3 weeks before they pulled the pulg due to the massive insurance premium being paid.

Very rare anyone nowdays will offer it to anyone below the age of 21.

they were making £1200 on the price of the car as it normally retailed about £5995 making about £200. From what i remember the insurance costs were anywhere up to £3500 what citroen had to pay ;D

Direct Line are shocking...  They more than doubled my renewel year on year, so they got their marching orders this time round...

I actually found the best deal with Kwik Fit (of all people) but, their policy actually seems reasonable-ish.  Quite scarey really...

this only works if you have had a clean driving license from age 17 and even that wont guarantee it cheap anymore!
