Anyone got any thoughts on this one...
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-VAUXHALL-OMEGA-ELITE-3-2-V6-AUTO-METALLIC-BLACK-/270709919251?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3f07918e13

I am sure that car has been mentioned here before but could be wrong, the one I am thinking about was also a black elite but there was some discrepancy with the recorded milage
-
Certainly looks worth a Punt? Valve guides & seals are probably worn causing the smoking but may have poisoned the cats, although the seller does not mention eml is on? Could be a lot of car for little money allowing scope for any work that needs doing. :-/
-
One of the pics shows the dash with engine idling, and no EML on, but thats not to say the bulbs haven't been removed...
I recon the Cats are fried, which mean big bucks! Probably only good for spares in that case...
-
Still got another five days to run, got a funny feeling it want end up that cheap for a high end mileage Car.
-
If it was closer I'd chuck £5-600 at it for a punt... May be an easy fix, may not. The mileage isn't really a concern although I expect the servicing has been to Vx recommendation so will want a few quick oil changes and the breather cleaning ;)
I wouldn't say the smoke in the pictures was excessive myself :-/ :-/

Just to remind, this is the "Help Section" so if you have a problem with you car this is the place to post.
General Car Chat would be the section this needed posting in as its about a car but not a problem you have with it.
Disscussion Section is for posting anything other than the above.
Hope that helps :y

Sorry Darth, that will be my fault.
Perhaps one of the mods can move it if they get a chance? :y
-
Has been in my watchlist for a few days. Might have a bid on it. :-/

Oil over filled by almost double! Bloody hell!
Tunnie may be able to describe the ringer advertised on here by Charlie 3.2(iirc :-/)

thats the one I was thinking about in my earlier post :y

I take it Charlie 3.2 isn't around any more then?
-
That doesn't look nothing like a 248k car, it's immaculate :o
-
VK53 *** was the black 3.2 Elite that had done in excess of 226,000 miles, and was then sold on here with circa 94k miles. Although I can't remember the sellers name, I think it's somewhere on here.
Charlie 3.2 was selling VA03 OOG, which has now been on ebay loads of times and is now on it's third attempt at being sold at Belle Vue.
I was also contemplating having a bid on this particular Omega. Selling my 2.6 Elite and using this as a cheap run around for a bit.

If you do, Josh, you can have a day or two of my time to help you with any issues it may have, as a thankyou for your recent kindness :y

Not sure if its the same 3.2 :-/
Its same age/spec/colour, but the one on here that was advertised at 94k but had 200k+ had tinted rear windows and LPG :-/

Ah, not the same one then :y

Went for £426. I was willing to pay £400 - had to factor in trailer hire and fuel to collect it.Probably worth what it went for if only to break it.

Definately worth that I would have thought! I wonder who bagged it, and how long it will be before the new owner discovers the forum...

Might already be a member ? Its never going to be worth what you would expect an 03 Elite to be worth, even if fixed, due to the galactic miles. Still well worth the winning bid though imo. :y
