and that laptop needs an mdi to work- a few £1000's :y

MDI - think tech2 without a screen or keyboard, sits between car and laptop. the idea was that with the right software on the laptop, ie ford, or vauxhall etc, you then talk to any car of that brand. I think ive heard its tending to work that only a GM MDI works with GM cars etc though.

and cant do a fraction of what an mdi can ;)
