Just been looking on Ebay at the listing not really bothered what the write up is but it maybe a good little project my dad is after a silver estate and if its cheap as chips I maybe interested albeit a fixer upper I think it would be alright once sorted.
What do you peeps reckon HG on a 2.0 cant be too hard can it.
The only thing that bugs me its an auto.

Must be high miles for the HG to go, and driven very very hard also.
But at least its a 2.0 so you can sit in the bay and fix it with room for tools & lunch ;D

True True ;D
Might give the seller a call just to see what its like, if the mileage is too high then bye bye.
Although The number on the listing doesn't look right as it starts with 1 ;D

shitty coolant can help hg on its merry way...

Well for curiosity sake I rang the seller (recovery company) and its a car they bought off someone who broke down in it, I forgot to ask what the mileage was but he seller told me the HG has gone at the joint near the exhaust and so water is getting into the exhaust when the pressure is up, he also mentioned it still runs, as for overheating he said its still driveable.
My gut feeling is keep away. :)
Would have been ideal what with being an estate and Silver lol :)
Shall keep looking.

If you do buy it, I'll borrow that silver tailgate please!

Temptation is there if only to break it. :)
