Title: Insurance GRRRRR!!!!!!
Post by: Crazycarzowner on 28 February 2011, 17:54:23
Where do insurance companies get their prices from??????
Received my renewal for mine & me misses cars, as we're with Multicar (from the chap with the telescope) 1 Ford Focus 1.6 year 2000 & 1 miggy 2.6CDX on a 2002 plate.
I'm just coming around   :o :o :o after reading the quote, still feel queesey writing it - £3547  :'( :'( :'(
The combined total is more than both cars are worth!

Hmmm, you're obviously a risk ;D

I use same firm, 3 cars - a 3.2, and 3.0 and another marque, around £650 ;)

Risk!!! Risk!!! Risk of a bloody heart attack me thinks!!!   ;D ;D ;D

I've only had 2 accidents in 19 years & both of them weren't my fault - no claims not lost. Wife had 1 last year, again not her fault (bloomin white van man) no claims not lost. Both mid 30's, garaged cars & she only does about 5k per year!
What I want to know is when I put the exact same details in online for both of us, the combined figure was £1400 with Admiral??? Do they really think I wouldn't look ont interweb??? Gonna have some fun ont phone tomorrow when I speak to em  :y

Ah, just seen your location.  Seems many insurance companies do not want to cover the manx area...

Admiral Multi-car worked out stoopidly expensive for us a couple of years back... Was cheaper for 2 separate policies ;)

That said, this year they want to increase my premium by 45% >:( ::)

Awaiting a call from Tradex ;)

We used Admiral multicar this year, put up mine and swmbo premiums but we had added Master Vamps and saved a small fortune for him, so our overall insurance was about £500 cheaper... :y

You don't. It's who I'm insured with. http://www.tradexinsurance.co.uk/homefleet-insurance and then click ............. get a quote which will take you to https://www.cglloyds.co.uk/quote/multi-car

It was £740-ish for 2 of us to drive an Omega, a Smart Roadster & a crappy Astra TD  :y

Webby, last year my quote for my V8 Disco & my wifes 1.6 Focus was £620 & £410 respectively, Disco got written off in October 2010 (other party at fault no claims not affected), so now I got a 2.6cdx Miggy instead. This years renewal £1800 for the Focus & £1700 odd for the Miggy???? Not impressed to say the least.  >:( >:( >:(
