Another 12 months MOT for my wifes Rover 25 Diesel, the car has been amazing. We've put about 60,000 miles on the clock since we've owned it and apart from a couple of CV Joints, tyres, cambelt and injector pump belt, water pump and oil changes every 3000 miles it hasn't missed a beat. Think the power steering pump sounds a little noisy though so i'll have to find one just incase. Here's to another 12 months :y

Always good news to get that MOT out of the way :y :y. Sounds as if she is very well looked after.

Yup, our little 25 has also been a superb little motor, far, far superior to the Astras and Focii of its era (and probably now!), and reliable apart from a HG.
11yrs and 107k, we've had it from new :y

75 was mis-marketed by BMW as a replacement for the 800. Its more a 600 replacement, with the larger 800 being dropped.

25 is wayyyy to small for me, my head touches the roof....
Or was that just because Mrs TB has seat set mega high? ;D

She is a shortarse, and height adjustment is manual, so too much effort to change. I leave it be... ;D
Its and Astra sized car, you've always owned big family saloons ;)

600 was a better car than the 800 in most respects, but the suspension was never modified for European roads. 600, particularly those with 'extras', were a bit ropey, as all extras were retro fitted once it came off the line. In the case of aircon, this meant removing the dash and refitting it.
600 (and 800) were Cowley built. The foremen there were still very much BL mentality. If they had a pallet of panels that had been damaged in transit, or left outside untreated, they would still go on. Not common to get a brand new one that had been filled. The current MINI is built at the same plant, and the same mentality exists :-X
