I was following an Aston Martin DB9 this afternoon. We stopped at a set of lights ...... me behind him ;) As the lights changed he proceeded in a leisurely manner, whereas I had my foot buried in the carpet to keep up, he got to around 50, stopped accelerating & then moved back over a lane. You just don't overtake a car like that even in a reasonably quick 3.0 Omega, so I moved over too behind him. Anyway ........ at the next set of lights when we both had to stop, I held back so that we could talk. I pointed out that half of his nearside tail lights weren't working, he already knew. ::)
They're led lights and Aston can/will only sell you a complete new light unit.
I know things are relative & if you have the money to buy & run a DB9 you're not going to be short of a quid or three, but he told me a tail light costs ................. £400 :o :o :o :o

That's half an Omega!!! ;D

Hand made is it Andy?! :o :o :o :D :D :D ;)

I guess when you buy an Aston, your not really bothered about the cost of parts!
Still, a whole rear light cluster for say a facelift is not going to be cheap either!

The advantage of our cars though is that you can change a bulb if one fails and not have to change the whole unit. ;) ;)

Job Oportunity :y :y :y :y
For a very reasonable fee I am prepared to hack it open and replace all LED's.
Lets say half price of a new one, £200. Hell, high power leds are only about £1 each, and if you have to change the driver they're only about £14
Just like refurbing a Power sounder ;D just as long as it doesn't catch fire later ;D
