I just cant help myself... the flesh is weak but the lure of that blue griffin badge is just too much. I,ve just bought my umpteenth saab. This one,s another 9000 CD, and for the uninitiated out there, the most comfortable car you will ever drive. More than my Miggy, more than my jag and gazillion times more comfy than the range rover. I got it off ebay for £400, owned by and old boy who sadly passed away and its MINT!!! Ahh pure bliss. 8-) 8-) :y

A Saab more comfortable than a Range Rover or Jag No Way... sorry Stokie there must have been something wrong with yours :-?

Certain SAAB's are amazingly comfortable :-* :-*

Dont get me wrong, the jag is fantastic. I,m not over keen on the body roll on the range rover when cornering 'enthusiastically' but the saab just gives a fantastic driving position. This is my 6th 9000, I,ve had a 2 stroke, a 99 turbo, 4 x 900,s a 9-3 and a 9-5. All great cars but the 9000 is the last of the 'real' saabs in my humble opinion, I love 'em. ::)

So you have bought a sweidsh ford then
-
my friend has a 9000 im sure its a 2.3 turbo and is a nice car its a l reg and looks like new
-
I had one as an insurance fill in car 5 years ago - I found it very uncomfortable.
So glad to get back into an Omega

I always thought SAAB were GM?
-
bet the range rover does better mpg than the saab
-
the 9000 was the last of the 'real' saabs. GM got hold of them in '93 and soldiered on with the 9000 until 97, then they launched the 9-5 and added all sorts of wierd plumbing to the old B series engine. That caused all sorts of problems with oil sludging up and things doing unpleasant rumbly bangy type noises under the bonnet. With regards to the fuel, my rangey is diesel and will return around 35 ish mpg, I can get the same out of the saab on a run. The jag does 26 and the beemer powered miggy does 46. No contest on that front. :y
