Title: It's alive! Passed MOT
Post by: bigegg on 26 March 2011, 20:53:05
I talked Mrs Egg into using my works vehicle budget to repair the MV6 rather than buy yet another old rustbucket van.

unfortunately, six months of been stood in my warehouse (and outside at times) has taken it's toll, so in the last week, I've done the following:

Replace ABS ecu
Replace both wishbones
Replace both track rod ends
Replace drop links.

Free up steering idler.
Bought steering box (not needed)
Headlamp adjuster replaced.
four new tyres
and then at 9.20 this morning...

it PASSED the MOT!
 :y :y :y :y

ElitePete did the cambelt last november.

Camshaft gaskets to do next, cos I've got a definite drip from the driver's side...

Heater matrix to flush, and I'm guessing the heater valve motor needs replacing.

Then I'm going to buy a crankshaft sensor, cos I think that completes the set  ::)

Can't be many more things to do...

Mind you, having done about 100 miles in it today, it's worth every penny  :)
