I currently have a 50 ltr tank in the wheel well of my estate. Is there a bigger tank that will fit in the well or is that it?
TIA :y
-
i think the max you can get in the spare wheel slot is 55L, even then the floor has to be raised slightly.

Oh rite, cheers Tunnie. Don't fancy having the floor raised, so will leave it as is.
I get 200 miles per tank, so not too bothered, would just have been a bonus! :y

Think Cliffo B has the largest wheel well one in his estate, 67l from memory, but check with him :y

Cliffo has a 77L tank but has to raise the boot floor by about 50mm IIRC :y

I think tank sizes are ranged within fixed diameters with about 5 optional depths within each range, for miggy I simply went for the deepest within the estate wheel well diameter range of 650mm, which gave me 77L (61L useable)it fits in the well and has a lift of exactly 65mm above floor level,I'm now engaged in getting the tank fixed in to comply with cop11 specs, and hope to be able to utilise the original floor panel and well lid, with the exposed uplifted floor rear edge covered in some original wall carpet from a scrapper. As Lazydocker has said there isn't a lot of info on the Forum with regard to tanks in estates, Ill get pics of work in progress as I have a friend who's promised to show me how to get the pics on line bit sorted. Never too old to learn from a young un ;D :y
