Had the self leveling rear dampers changed for normal gas shocks and some uprated heavy duty rear springs fitted today and what a difference,  handles like my old ex-plod MV.  Old stuff must have been well knackered.
Even throw away the self leveling pump.  £500 with a MOT throw in and my hands didn't get dirty in anyway. :D

I guess by definition, if the car is carrying a load, with self levelling, then it won't be expected to handle as well. Certainly noticed an improvement on binning sl on mine.
