Title: LPG Cross Section - Vents
Post by: JamesV6CDX on 05 April 2011, 14:57:15
So my tank is mounted in the boot.

My filler is a JIC hose, running directly from the tank to the filler, internally.

The liquid feed, runs out of the boot floor, through the gas-tight vent hose.

So - there is only one "Vent" to the outside world.

I know there needs to be a certain cross section - and have no idea if this will be enough.

any ideas?

8mm Polyflex? How big is the wire for the sender etc?

I think it should be enough... It's if you run 2 lots of polyflex through that you'll have problems :y

The requirement is 450mm2 free area according to COP11 :y :y

I believe I worked it out when I did mine, and it was OK, just! You need to know the inside diameter of the duct pipe and the outside diameter of the polyflex and any wire you put down it. Then it's simply a matter of calculating the area of the duct and subtracting that of the solid bits that go in it.
