Title: sodding SatNav
Post by: Ronald_McBurger on 10 July 2007, 13:41:32
Just been to our local butcher.... 100+ miles away in Milton Keynes. yeah eyah, I know, but we only go once a month and the meat is DDEFINITELY worth it. Top quality, best in the country.

Anyway, set sat nav as usual (TomTom one). get there. Park. Put satnav away in dash and go and get meat. get back, put sat nav back up, switch on, switch on, switvch ON YOU BUGGER! Nope. One dead tomtom. Ok, put power lead in again although shouldn't need it after that derive, but green light only. Blank screen.

So, I may have to take some pics of me reversing my car over it later.

Who wants to chip in a quid for the entertainment value? If enough do I WILL kill this tomtom. If not, I suppose I will have to try and fix it. I have a vice, a trolley jack and a hammer.

Trying to find the M1 from bletchley when you are used to her telling you is a headache. I did find it. But took for ever going around the 28,465 sodding roundabouts. >:(

I have the TOMTOM 910, there is a tiny reset pad inside where the windscreen connector sits, do you have a reset button.

Of course, I was just thinking about using the reset button myself when you posted that. ::)

OK, so I didn't see the reset hole. I found it, used it and say a BIG THANKS. cos it works again. It lives, it breathes, it is TOM.

Well, a bit OTT I suppose, but thanks. I really didn't see the reset hole and was about to get sammy sledgehammer to assist me. Saved me £150 so CHEERS! :y
