A friend of mine has a 2001 BMW 325i that has started to stall at lights , junctions etc.. any ideas on this would be greatfull as the bloke is sitting with me now??
-
Well, if it was an omega I would suggest Idle control valve needs cleaning, or crank sensor is dying. Dont know how applicable that is to the beemer though. :-/
-
Thank you for that info... more suggestions off anyone else would be good?

Could need a new MAF.

Has he had any work done on car recently - how long has it been doing it? Look very carefully at air intake boots for improper fitting or splits
-
No work done recently he says but it doesn't struggle at the lights and roundabouts all the time just every now and then..
-
i'd just press the clutch :P
-
Yup that'd do it...

Take it for a diagnostic. It'll tell him straight off what the problem is. :y

Has he had it serviced recently? Dirty plugs etc? :-/
